Anthropocene: (Un)Sustainable Gardens, Landscapes and Environment

This short film (ca. 20 min) invites you to plunge into the complex realities of the Anthropocene through the lens of current research from the Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology (CIUHCT). In “Anthropocene: (Un)Sustainable Gardens, Landscapes and Environment”, the film weaves together scientific insight, historical perspective, and field‑based evidence to show how human activity is reshaping ecosystems, landscapes and our understanding of environmental thresholds.

Produced under the umbrella of CIUHCT’s scientific outreach mission, this film is part of the ongoing effort to make cutting‑edge research more accessible to the general public. It is conceived to foster reflection and dialogue on how knowledge from history, science, and technology converge in the age of global change—and how they can guide more sustainable futures.
