The Marquises of Pombal's Recreational Estate hosts a new project aimed at engaging scientists, technicians, and the community in identifying and protecting habitats and biodiversity in this green space, located in the heart of an urban environment. Besides being a unique heritage in the origin of Oeiras, the Estate consists of a network of diverse habitats that harbor hundreds of species.

SOLITARY BEES
Miguel Azevedo, a biologist dedicated to the study and conservation of wild bees, takes us on a journey to explore the vast world of these solitary insects. At the Marquises of Pombal's Recreational Estate, he not only studies the population of these bees but also promotes nesting sites through nest boxes. Wild bees are excellent allies in gardens and urban parks because, besides not stinging, they are exceptional pollinators.

BIOBLITZ - COMMUNITY SCIENCE
Scientists and citizens come together for a day to conduct a bioblitz, a rapid survey of the biodiversity present at the Marquises of Pombal's Recreational Estate. This Biodiversity4All project aims to engage the entire community in contact with national biodiversity while contributing to the understanding of species in this location.
